WORLD BANK AND FPMU OFFICIALS VISITED DEMONSTRATION ROAD AND THAT OF WAMAKKO-GWAMATSE-DAN KALA UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN SOKOTO.
The delegation led National Coordinator Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) Engr. Aminu Muhammad Bodinga said the essence of visit is to see the level of progress so far made in terms of project Implementation in Sokoto state.
At Demonstration road, the visiting officials met with the contractor handling the construction of 21 km Demonstration road and discussions were made with a view of addressing all the challenges associated with the road from the contractor’s side MS De -Pacific investment ltd, JB with ln RB International. Commenting the Managing Director of the company Mr Lee assured to comply with all observations made to achieve success.
The NCR said Sokoto state was among the 19 RAAMP implementation States with Project objectives to provide Rural Access roads and improve markets with a view to provide succour to farmers to transport their farms produce to cities without hindrance.
Also in his remarks the Sokoto state Project coordinator Engr Malami Umar Tambuwal said Sokoto SPIUs is steadfast in the project Implementation and comply with all project objectives.
