SOKOTO SPIU HOSTED NORTHERN RAAMP STATES FOR A TWO DAY INTERACTIVE MEETING ON AGRO LOGISTICS COMPONENT.

The Agro Logistics Officers of Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP from the Northern States have attended a two day interactive meeting to discuss issues of Agro Logistics aimed at improving Markets in the RAAMP intervention States held at Sokoto Guest Inn. In a welcome address the Special Advisor on Rural Roads Hon Malami Muhammad Galadanchi said Sokoto State government has given the Project adequate support and attention to succeed and achieve it’s mandate of construction of Rural Access Roads and improvement of selected Markets to be improve under Agro Logistics unit. Also in his remarks, the National Coordinator RAAMP Engr Aminu Muhammad Bodinga represented by Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at FPMU Mr Chinedu Olisa said the Project at the Federal level is up and doing towards ensuring the Component was fully supported in the right direction. Commenting during the event, the Head of Agro Logistics Unit at FPMU Salisu Abubakar said the essence of the interactive meeting was to ginger ALOs to live up to the expectations in discharge of their responsibilities.
In his remarks the host and State Project Coordinator Engr Malami Umar Tambuwal welcomed all the participants and assured them total support in their deliberations.
The meeting was attended by the Technical Assistant on Agro Logistics, State coordinators from the Northern states and some Sokoto SPIUs.
